2. Battery value chain funding opportunity - Feasibility and R&D projects with Indo-Pacific partners

ABRI members have strong connections across the Indo-Pacific region including the South Pacific, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

Now is the time to consider whether there are joint battery recycling/circular economy feasilibility studies and R&D projects you’d like to deliver with your partners across the region.

In November, the Australian Government is expected to open a $50 million fund to develop and diversify clean energy supply chains in the Indo-Pacific region. Funding is available for research and development projects and feasibility studies targeting solar photovoltaic (PV), hydrogen electrolyser and battery supply chains.

Projects must be delivered jointly between Australian organisations and Indo-Pacific organisations.Further details.

Up to A$25 million will be available under the first round. Grant sizes will range from A$100,000 to A$2.5 million. A second round of applications is expected to open in the second half of 2025.

3. Major review of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code
