ACCC ANNOUNCES AUTHORISATION OF THE BSC BATTERY STEWARDSHIP SCHEME

ACCC Authorisation granted

On Friday the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) granted authorisation of the Battery Stewardship Scheme proposed by the Battery Stewardship Council.    This is a critical step which allows industry to take a leadership role in providing a solution to battery collection and recycling.   The government has made it very clear that without such a Scheme, regulation is imminent.  The ACCC authorisation is the culmination of many years of work by ABRI and its members to highlight the challenges and showcase practical options for moving forward.

25TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS FOR BATTERY RECYCLING ICBR 2020 IS TAKING PLACE BOTH IN SALZBURG AND ONLINE
