New lithium hydroxide factory in WA wins federal approval

The Guardian features an article on the a new facility set to boost local jobs and supply growing global demand for lithium, which is used in renewable energy storage. The plant will process spodumene ore from the Greenbushes lithium mine, producing 60,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide annually with capacity to expand to 100,000 tonnes.
